This particular show will feature the X-Rays 1897 and other short Halloween films from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. One silent film is 121 years old. It is one of the first films ever made! There will also be modern music videos, 1930’s animation as well as films from Poland, France, Japan, England and the USA. These films are going to be rare, odd, fantastic, fun and weird. Most are not violent but there will be a few drops of blood. So that is a very good blood to entertainment ratio. Our host Steven Mayerson rates these films PG-10.
I highly recommend that you arrive 15 minutes early if you don't want a long walk from your car. Park behind the Schneider Museum of Art. Campus can be otherwise difficult to find parking without a pass.
There will be an intermission, mid-show to stretch your legs and hit the drinking fountain or the bathrooms.
The best part is that the free movies cost absolutely nothing! Wow, I know right? Free and they cost nothing too! That is the most amazing combination of awesomeness.
There are typically four of these shows every year, and they feature a different theme each time. Halloween being my favorite.
Shows are usually between an 1-1/2 to 2 hours. It is easy to duck out if you need to leave early, but please sit near an aisle if you expect to.
If you have any questions, please feel free to send them to me. I am very busy these days, but I promise to do my best to respond as soon as I can.
