Last time I was in Brazil I heard about a local director who'd just completed a bi film. I spoke to him, got a screener, liked it, and...long story short... pitched it to Outfest. Now it's about to screen at REDCat at Walt Disney Concert Hall!
City of the Future is the mostly-true story of Mila, Gilmar, and Igor - three real-life bi and poly people of color living in rural Brazil. The story of their town offers a startlingly insightful metaphor for the experience of being bi, and American bis will be able to see themselves reflected in this glimpse of queer life in South America.
There will be a panel discussion with the directors as well as an afterparty with FREE drinks sponsored by the American Institute of Bisexuality.
