Pre-march Potluck LGBTQ Protest Against Pence/Trump

  • Dan and Cindy's 1827 Wilcox Avenue Los Angeles, CA, 90028 United States

Los Angeles Chapter members RSVP here.

At 1:30 there will be an LGBTQ March to protest Trump and Pence, specifically their treatment of the LGBTQ community. We want to make sure the B is present and representing for this event, so we encourage everyone to come out for it, even if you can't make the Potluck before hand. At the potluck we're going to be making signs and doing up the face paint, before heading over to the march at around 1:15 (we live just a few blocks away, on Hollywood and Highland). So wear your bi colors, or Ambi shirts if you have them! I hope to see you all there!

Here's the info about the march:

Please join us in the fight against Trump and Pence and their horrible plans to hurt the LGBTQ community. We welcome everybody, all sexualities and all genders, or if you're just an ally we welcome you! Due to the recent attack on minorities, we will be speaking out against that as well. We are protesting to show we will stand strong together. That we are not going to let these racist, homophobic, bigoted people hurt us.

This started as a GSA protest within middle schools, high schools, and colleges, but has expanded into something more.

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT. THIS IS NOT VIOLENT. THIS IS A PEACEFUL PROTEST. WE DO NOT WANT TO BE SEEN AS VIOLENT/HOSTILE.

This is for Pulse. This is for Harvey Milk. This is for Stonewall. This is for all those we have lost. This is for the kids who can't come out and love who they want. This is for people targeted for just trying to be who they are. This is for people who can't even pee where they want. This is for everybody in the LGBTQ community, whether they're still here or not. This is so important. Help us speak out.
