Join us for a fun afternoon in Venice, strolling, eating and drinking. We'll meet up on Abbot Kinney Blvd., walk around and grab a bite at one or more various casual eateries located on the two blocks between Palms Blvd. and California Ave., meander our way up Abbot Kinney checking out the eclectic shops along the way, and end up at the Roosterfish. This cash-only Venice Beach landmark, currently the only gay bar on the Westside, and in service for 36 years will be closing its doors in May. So let's get together and bid farewell to this famous, gritty neighborhood queer dive bar complete with an outdoor patio, pool tables and a great jukebox!
Food Trucks -there will likely be a couple of them at The Brig's parking lot.
Abbot's Pizza, a solid by-the-slice joint which has become an AK institution.
Abbot's Habit, another longtime fixture of Abbot Kinney is a coffee shop & cafe known for its sandwiches, salads & wraps.
Gjelina Take Away - the "to go" annex of the famed, chef-driven California-Mediterranean restaurant lauded by food critics.
N'ice Cream, serves up organic gelato and sorbetto.
Salt & Straw, an ice cream parlor originating in Portland, is a recent and decidedly hipster addition to the Venice scene.
