I recorded on my iPhone some really cool footage of the bisexual parade/walk last September 22nd, 2018 in West Hollywood. The event was so inspiring for me that I really want to make a short documentary — and share online why this event was so important for those who attended. If you didn’t get the chance to attend, yet feel really passionate about the community, you’re more than welcome to share!
In order to make a cohesive video, I'll record additional material on Saturday January 5th, 2019 at the Bi-Loft. Here are the time slots, and please let me know which one you would like to participate in:
Time slot a* 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM Sit down with some of you and record a one-on-one interview of your personal experience for why this event meant so much to you. Ideally I would like to have these one-on-ones as private and quiet as possible — to get good audio and personable experiences.
Time slot b* 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM Record audio of people chanting catchy phrases that were made at the bisexual walk such as “bi! pride!”, “bi! magic!”, “have your cake and eat it too! if you’re bi it’s what you do!” etc. The more people that are here for this, the more it will sound like everyone who was chanting at the parade!
Please let me know if you want to be part of the one-on-one documentary or the group chants in either a DM or just post on the general chat.
Some of the the questions that I’ll ask in time slot a* are below. I am open to hearing any other burning topics related with the bisexual event:
What’s your name? What’s your sexual identity? Did you go to to the bisexual event last year? If so, why was it so important to you? What does bisexuality mean to you? Why is it so important for bisexuals to be visible to the public? Why is being part of the bisexual community so important to you?
Once I get all the recordings, I’ll edit it and will post it on social media ie. youtube, this meetup page, etc.
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or suggestions to make this a fun and exciting event!
