Every summer LA's Independent Shakespeare Company puts on wonderful free plays in Griffith Park. This time we'll be watching "Two Gentlemen of Verona."
The atmosphere is super relaxed. The area that I like to sit in doesn't allow any chairs. I have quite a few blankets for sitting on, but if you have a favorite picnic blanket, please bring it. It does get chilly in the evening so bring a sweater. Every year these get more and more crowded, so let's show up early, bring a picnic, and stake out a good spot. I'll be staking out a spot and snacking starting at 5pm. The show starts at 7. If you aren't going to be able to make it until closer to 7, please let me know so I save us enough space. If you are planning on joining us later, be warned that the parking situation gets intense.
These shows are completely free of charge, however this is an amazing program, and they do ask for donations before and after each show. They have card readers, but if you plan on donating or buying swag, it's easier if you have cash.
