A few amBi members were planning on attending this anyway, so we figured why not go together? Some of us will be wearing amBi shirts, and it might be fun if others want to as well (optional). Who knows? We might even be featured on TV if we march together in our shirts.
MISSION FROM THE WEBSITE:
We stand together in solidarity for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families — recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.
In the spirit of democracy and honoring the champions of human rights, dignity, and justice who have come before us, we join in diversity to show our presence in numbers too great to ignore. We stand together, recognizing that defending the most marginalized among us is defending all of us.
We support the advocacy and resistance movements that reflect our multiple and intersecting identities. We call on all defenders of human rights to join us. This march is the first step towards unifying our communities, grounded in new relationships, to create change from the grassroots level up. We work peacefully while recognizing there is no true peace without justice and equity for all.
ABOUT THE MARCH (from their FB page):
There is no cost to the event. We recommend getting there around 9:00 am. The march will start at 10:00 am and will last until approx 11:30 am. The march starts at Pershing Square and loops back to Pershing Square where there will be an event in the park until approximately 3:00 pm. There will be entertainment, speakers, informational booths and food trucks.
We hope to see lots of ya'll there!

NOTE: The night before, a few of us are staying at Rio's loft (which is walking distance from the starting location). Maybe we can even make some signs or something. If you'd like to crash at the loft the night before, please IM Rio. There is limited space, so it's fight come first serve. :)
