Our Pillars

  • Group of people holding flags and a banner in front of a purple background with graphic elements

    Community

Social progress begins with community. Only by building and maintaining a vibrant and visible bisexual community can we make real progress on social issues that matter to bi people.

    Participation

amBi is about meeting people, connecting online and especially in person. Participate in activities. Attend events. That way, you'll get the most out of what amBi has to offer.

  • Three people smiling and posing together, two women and one man, with colorful abstract background.

    Inclusivity

Inclusivity is essential to a supportive community. At amBi, we welcome our gay and straight allies. LGBT people should be working together, not at cross purposes.

    Respect

Communities thrive when people feel safe. Consent is paramount in any and all interactions, whether physical, online or verbal. Respect boundaries and personal space.

    Privacy

It is empowering to be part of a private community where members can feel comfortable being themselves, without the pressure to "come out" before they are ready.

    Visibility

It's important to ensure the general public knows bi people are part of their community. Some members choose to reach out and represent us through presentations and public events.

    Friendship

In a world where bisexuality is often invisible, the opportunity to befriend other bi people is a validating experience. The foundation of amBi is the friendships members make.

    Diversity

Bi people are a diverse group from many backgrounds. amBi is a safe space but not an echo chamber. Be yourself, and also strive to appreciate the individuality of others.

    Giving Back

As a way of saying thank you to the towns and cities that host our chapters, we offer the opportunity to give back through optional charities, fundraisers, conservancy, and education.

    Positivity

Community building is about fostering optimistic attitudes and positive self expression. Rather than dwelling on the negative, let's lift one another up. And remember, have fun!

In a world that often stigmatizes those who identify as bisexual, your generous contribution can make a significant impact in providing a safe and inclusive space for individuals to connect and celebrate their identity.

Through a network of chapters across the globe hosting different types of events, we strive to normalize bisexuality and create a sense of community and belonging for those who have often felt isolated or misunderstood. Your donation, no matter the amount, can continue to build and maintain a vibrant, visible bisexual community and make real progress on social issues that matter to bi people.
