Book Challenge FAQs

The challenge runs from June 1 through August 31, 2026. The final day to complete books for the challenge is August 31, 2026.
-
Yes. You can join at any point during June, July, or August. Just start wherever you are and track the books you read from there.

Books should be connected and related to bisexuality. That can mean a bisexual character, a bisexual author writing about bisexuality, a memoir by a bi person, nonfiction about bi history or culture, or another clear connection to bi life and representation. If you are not sure where to start, you can check out some bi books here.

Not if you don’t want to! You can keep your tracker private if you prefer. Sharing is encouraged if you want to join the community conversation, participate in the giveaways, get recommendations, or show off your progress!
-
You can share your progress with the amBi community, including on our Discord server if you’re part of it. You can also share your template or reading updates on social media and tag @amBisocial so we can see what you’re reading. (You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok as @ambisocial)
-
Yes. Bi books in any language count.
-
No. The template is blank so you can choose your own books. We may share recommendations along the way, and amBi Book Club picks are a great place to start, but the challenge is designed to be flexible.
-
Nope! Bi people, queer people, questioning people, allies, and anyone interested in reading more bi books are welcome to participate.
-
At the moment, giveaways are primarily available to participants in North America. If you are located outside North America (Canada, USA, and Mexico) , you are still welcome to participate and tag amBi, but prizes may vary depending on local availability, shipping options, and what we’re able to send to your region.
